Cardinals and Packers Swap OL and Draft Picks |
After countering and then re-countering offers all morning, the Packers and Cardinals finally reached a trade agreement that sends C Shannon Boatman and draft picks to Arizona in exchange for multiple offensive lineman and a 2nd round pick. Here's what the deal looks like:

It appears the Cardinals are making a serious effort to strengthen their offensive line. With the addition of Boatman, the Cardinals now have three prolific centers on their hands. It is now expected that C Reggie Wells will not move to RT as previously thought, but instead recently acquired C Lydon Murtha will be filling that hole. Wells will now move to LT along with young RT Xavier Fulton, and LT Linwood Dowe is expected to move to LG. If you're extremely confused after reading that, here's how the Cardinals offensive line is expected to look next season:
LT: Xavier Fulton/Reggie Wells
LG: Linwood Dowe/Logan Mankins
C: Shannon Boatman
RG: Travis Bright
RT: Lydon Murtha
