Tampa (AP) -- The move doesn't come as much of a surprise, as after the Buccaneers surrendered
[1.11] and
[2.16] for the former #8 overall draft pick, there was no way they were letting anyone get a chance to bid on his services. Williams finished the year strong, going for over 70 yards in six of seven games as a Buccaneer (and over 100 yards in four of seven). With the development of Colt McCoy, we expect Jaison to be a pivotal part of his success alongside fellow wide receivers Derrick Williams and Tiquan Underwood.
In other Free Agent news, the Buccaneers have reportedly applied the Franchise Tag to RG Davin Joseph, as expected, and extended preliminary offers to HB Brandon Jacobs, DT Kevin Williams, and LT Tom Ashworth. We will keep you posted on all the breaking news during this exciting Free Agent period!
